Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a state of relaxation with a state of heightened awareness, whereby we take our attention from external awareness to internal awareness. This way we are in tune with our emotions and how we are feeling. We are then able to communicate with that deeper part of ourselves sometimes known as the unconscious; subconscious; higher self; inner child or deeper self, there are many different terms used. This part of us knows everything about us and stores memories, like in a library. As the practitioner converses with the client, the client is always in charge, being guided by the therapist and can stop the session at any time.

Have you ever been watching the television, only to find that you haven’t been taking anything in at all. Just stared at the screen in a relaxed state. Well this is like hypnosis. Some would say that there is only one type of hypnosis and that is self-hypnosis, as you are always in charge.

Hypnosis has been in use for thousands of years. There is a great deal of evidence to support the belief that Hypnosis was being used by the Ancient Greeks and Romans – for therapeutic benefit – as far back as about the fourth Century BC. Egyptians had very popular ‘sleep temples’ in which people were asked to lie down and listen to somebody chanting to help cure illness and problems as far back as 1550BC.

Stage Hypnosis.

It is unfortunate that most people’s first encounter of hypnosis is through watching television and stage hypnotists at work. This can lead people to believe that they may be controlled or manipulated or made to do something silly. NOTHING could be further from the truth.

At all times you remain in control and perfectly awake. Hypnosis for therapeutic purposes is just about relaxation. You may feel very heavy, relaxed, lethargic or quite light and tingly. It’s just a wonderful, deeply pleasant and relaxing experience.

Past Life Regression.
There have been many possible explanations put forward as to what past life experiences may be and you are free to choose which ever theory feels comfortable with your beliefs. What I know is that many of my clients have felt a new found freedom to move forward into a more productive and successful life after experiencing Past Life Regression, using Hypnotherapy. Therefore, as my objective is to help people find their own solutions, it is a helpful tool to have. Here are some beliefs:

REINCARNATION: The belief that we return to this world many times in order to experience and evolve.

GENETIC MEMORY: A theory suggesting that our memories are passed on from one generation to another through the cell structure or DNA. This can’t explain why most people regress back to many different cultural backgrounds, using other languages etc.

FANTASY: Are we just making it all up? There are many cases that can be documented through historical research, which can prove the accuracy of the information, far beyond the chances of random imagination.

SOUL MEMORY: The idea that people can access the memory of another soul, through the ‘Akashic’ records – the spiritual record of everything that has ever happened. This can be quite acceptable to some, although it doesn’t account for the continuity of character traits which seem to pass from one life to another.

Regardless of personal beliefs, past life regression can work for everyone, whether it is to help with a problem or to simply have an experience of Past Life Regression. So by using this process we can positively improve from the benefits that it brings.
